Ruger No 1 gunsmith?

Does anyone know of a good Number One gunsmith - someone they have used and are happy with the results? Broadcreek Rifleworks is no more and I'm looking for a Number One project guy.

Where are you and what kind of work are you wanting? I have re-stocked and re-barreled a number of #1's

I’m interested in re-barreling a number one to 45-70 caliber with an extractor change and re-installation of the barrel band front sight and sling swivel attachment. I would prefer to use a 45-70 take-off barrel if I can find one in decent shape. Are you able to weld up the safety slot and install a vernier tang sight? Can you improve on the trigger the number ones come with – around 2.5 pounds? Any references from previous number one owners? I'm located in Buckner, MO just east of Kansas City.
