Roy Hunter bullets/ testing

Nice shooting Tom. Alex is currently working on one on another B for me. Still no matches to go to but looking forward to break in and tuning another one.

The way the B rifles shoot, BAT should re-name them the A action!

Dave.

Dropped it a couple tenths chasing the stupid orange box thing, and she opened up a tad!

Lol

I made that mistake last year and turned a great shooting rifle into a good one. I won’t make it again. The target doesn’t care about velocity.

In your case it looks like you must have a decent charge window.

Dave.

What is the load, in going to test this weekend at Williamsport. I’ve been able to procure a couple thousand of them. I’m open for suggestions and willing to post the results. Thanks.

The red gun that started this thread, and also this new yellow thing both like the high node. In a BRA that's around 3020. Some barrels (most actually) won't go there, and the bullet likes 2930ish on those. They came easy for me having tons of time behind vapor trails. Same general seating areas to look at and charges. If you got a known load with vapors, just start there, my guess is you won't move it very much at all.

Mike McBride was testing new 133 Vapors in a 6.5 Creedmoor Imp. HG at Hunters Pointe last weekend. Pretty much ran away with the Sunday match.

Okay 6mm shooters, here's another great option to stock next to your vapor trails and Barts. Somewhere back around February I started shooting Roy's 106 a little bit, and developed a good relationship with Ole Roy. 2 barrels later and a couple different tweaks(13 ish lol), I believe he now has about the most forgiving long range 6mm, and it will shoot small also. I'll post up just some of the highlights of the final draft of "Bullet A". Yes, "Bullet A" is very much not as cool of a name as the "BRA", but one testing day I wrote "a, b, and c" and it stuck!

Testing results posted all from my 880 yard spot on this post.

Out of space, will have more photos coming soon.

Are you saying that in your opinion they are better than VT and Barts. Or in that particular testing session they shot well in your gun. Did you shoot the others in the same condition?
