Ross Schuler Muzzle brakes

Question on timing/indexing threaded brakes, do you use peel washers for those who don't have lathes? I have a couple of Ross's brakes, very happy with them, but the smiths who chambered the barrels timed the brake so no adjustment/washers are needed. With all braked or non braked rifles...WEAR hearing protection, so you aren't half deaf like me.

You should check out the Muscle Brake at piercision rifles.com. All who have them can't say enough. I'm having one put on a varmint rifle, but don't have it yet. First port shears the rest, so no back blast yet very effective. Some say you can shoot them without hearing protection, although prob not a good idea.

Has anybody used the muzzle brake from Ross Shuler at www.muzzlebrakesandmore.com? I like the design and think they might work better then a standard muzzle brake with just striaght holes in it. also the fact that theres no holes in the bottom to inhanse the barrel jump.

their going on a 300 RUM,7/300wby

doug
They work great you can order them with out top holes if you prefer. i got 5 of them

They look like they will work better cause the ports are angled back instead of be straight. And they arent bad priced either $45-$60 for a brake isnt bad I dont think.
These guys are extremely efficient at there machining process . Thats why there offered at a great price.

What's Ross's contact info? I tried emailing him and never got a response. Anyone have his phone number?

Yes I have used peel washers for putting one on my Savage, and +1 on the hearing protection. My buddies say Ross' breaks are loud since they are the ones shooting besides and I have would have to agree.
