Rolling tool boxes for range use

Is anyone using a rolling tool box to carry some of your gear? The smaller plastic type obviously not the big metal ones.

I sometimes take 2-4 guns to range along with the usual staplers, magazines, PPE, ammo and it adds up. A simple range bag works for one gun maybe two but I take extra stuff because sometimes you or someone else needs something.

I do have my Creedmoore stool but thinking of something more solid. Anywhoo just something I'm thinking about.

This is what I use:

It serves my purposes well. I just leave stuff that ALWAYS go to the range...altho its not much help if you forget your bolts at home...just saying.

Another +1. Other similar rolling boxes I have tried are made of malleable plastic. The sides bend when the box is loaded and make it difficult, if not impossible, to close the lid. The Rigid toolbox is made of a hard plastic that is reinforced, so it doesn't bend easily. I wish I had purchased one of these the first time.

I use the Home Depot Rigid rolling box sets just like others above. Works great and takes tons of abuse.

Get a fold up wagon. I use the sports type carts from academy. Takes up little room and hauls a bunch
Agreed. Yeah I guess the exact purpose should be quantified. For my local weekly range I have it all in the Home Depot box. Just makes things easier for me. But any actual matches I go to I have the fold up beach cart because I always have more stuff I bring and need easy access to.

For moving my gear from bench to bench at a match there is nothing better than those canvas fold up wagons but for the "must have" items needed for my normal range trips a preloaded wheeled box is the only way to go.

+1 For the Ridgid tool box with its added compartment I use it to carry all my reloading stuff. So I can load at the range. Works perfectly

Got one of these at Sears - on sale $10 off the other day to replace my older one without wheels. Similar to the Rigid and works well.

Hurry before they close.

For sure!
What’s not to like about a riding cooler?:)

I use an 18" husky rolling tool bag from Home Depot. I've had it for a few years and it has held up well. It is red fabric on the outside and has lots of pockets for the smaller items. Quality wheels. I just looked in their web site. About $80.00.

I use the Ridgid box as well. I use the main box for my front rest, rear bag, notebook, targets, and ammo (in MTM ammo boxes); the top has cleaning supplies, binder clips to hang targets, assorted tools, whatever else I have happened to throw in there. If needed, you can add a second top box.
