Ring height for 56mm objective scope

HP let's not go there..Tally/Leupold...ughhh...I think the only ones I have not sworn at or about are... Warne...I Think, don't quote me & don't take that as an endorsement...Back To Tally...I have been trying to get a replacement snapped off screw from one of their Fancy split styles on a Sako HB Varmint for years...The money we spend on scopes. & The Mounting systems should perform much better for the price we pay..It is not rocket science, giving properly hardened & tempered mounting screws..Mike

OK, I won't go there. :D How about BKLs? I use them on my rimfires and they make 30mm.

Thanks for the Link to BKL products..nice looking stuff bud...If I get around to it, I may fuss w that CZ527...The Barrel re-bore guy really F'ed up that project [my 25/223] ..If & when I ever calm down about that.. I'll look into the dovetail to weaver slot adapter...Thanks Again, Mike in Ct

Yep, order all three (free shipping @ Brownells), and return the two you don't want.

With the Burris Signatures you don't have to lap the rings, the eccentric nylon inserts, align themselves as they are properly torqued. A few bonuses are you can add, or subtract MOAs, to elevation and/or windage, to keep your zeros "Centered" in the scopes range of adjustment.
The nylon inserts will never mark or bind your tubes, and they DO NOT SLIP, even on heavy Recoiling guns.

284 winner puts it best...The action footprint...How quickly I forget every Sako & CZ action & Diff.barrel wt..I have to deal with..It is so much easier dealing with the devil you know..Rem Win Savage .The last was a mini-mauser CZ 527..It took 3 try's with various rings/bases to end up with Leupold rings to fit that special headache correctly..Truth be told, I'm still not happy with that set up either...Mike in Ct
I do have a few savage actions but they too seem real close to the remmies. It really does vary between maker of rings, bases, and barrel contour. Just for me my experience is high rings are needed for any 56mm objective on my setups. Also what measurement MOA base is being used. I use 20-30 moa bases.
