Rimx or Bergara question

Take a look at a B14R heavy barreled action. A friend has 1 in an MPA chassis & it shoots great. Cost less than the Rimx action. I have a Rimx & if its any more accurate than the Bergara its barely noticeable

Thanks I have been looking at those also

I’d pick the Rimx of the two every time but the Bergara is a solid action with a good fire control system. Both can be extremely accurate with a quality barrel and chamber.
The Bergara has a real bastard of a metric thread. Beats anything you would ever see as a machinist.
Very doable though. I do several. Both great but the Rimx is a much finer part. Barrels are generally cheaper for the Rimx as well. In my shop anyway. No extractor cuts Saves a couple steps in the chambering process.

I've owned both. Sold the B14R and built a RimX. Couldn't be happier! If ya go this rout, contact Jon from Modacon Custom Rifles to build it. I did and do not regret a single penny spent. If you look at the video, at the opening, you will see 'MCR' laser engraved on the barrel. It was chambered by Jon.

BTW, Jon chaimbered a friends rifle that won the worlds in Italy a year or 2 ago. ;)
