Rimfire Gallery--Show Us Your Gun

Remington 40x/Eliseo R1 tubegun

Two years ago I had a 6BR built on a Borden Tubegun action with an Eliseo R5 chassis for NRA Highpower shooting. Last year I decided to have its little brother in 22LR built on a stripped CMP 40X action on an Eliseo R1 chassis.

I picked up the stripped Remington 40x action from CMP and purchased an aftermarket bolt from PTG. I purchased the remainder of the 40x parts from Out Back Gun Parts.
I went with a Hart stainless 27inch rimfire barrel in a Light Palma contour which will be set up for match rifle sights with a .750" muzzle.

The trigger is an Xtreme Model 22 two stage match trigger. I have one on the R5 and its terrific.

The gunsmithing was completed by Steve Gluck in NY

After I picked up my new 40x rimfire tubegun. Here are some pics. The light taper Palma contour Hart barrel finished out at 26 inches.

I finally got so shoot my 40x target rifle yesterday. Lighting wasn't ideal since I got to the range later than I had wanted to but the rifle shows tremendous promise. It was nice to finally get to bench test the rifle and get the iron sights zeroed. I only shot about 30 rounds from it with CCI standard and Eley Standard ammo. It seemed to like both equally.

I'll be taking a morning to test what ammo it likes best with a scope in the near future.

Nice rifles guys Here are a few of mine:

Two Ruger DSPs with Green Mountain Heavy Tapers. I did the trigger and both are around 1.5 lb or a little less. Both are bedded. Some things have changed since these were take like charging handles and mag releases but they are basically the same:

Then there is this one. The barrel was left to me by a friend that took his life. I built it is tribute to him and had his screen name engraved on the barrel. Another Heavy Taper. R/T CNC trigger modified with my own torsion spring trigger rest. Jack Weigand scope mount and Mueller APV:

This one is very special. Some of the folks at RFC got together and put this together for me. The stock is bubinga an African Rosewood and it was cut by Ruger to make a DSP, Green Mountain donated a 19" Heavy Taper, Mueller donated an APV. I put a KIDD single stage trigger. In some pictures it may be wearing a Weaver 6-20 Nitrex:

Shoots pretty well:

Last target averaged .226" @ 50 yds....not bad for a sporter 10/22 that is not bedded yet ;D

All of them average at or under .8 @ 100 on our club range that is very wind protected.
We also plink saltine crackers at 200 yds for giggles. Thanks for looking.

This is my F-T/R trainer. I'm still working with the tuner and need to finish the grip, but I am very happy with it. It is so much fun to shoot.

Specs:
Hall RB/LP
Broughton barrel
Smithed by Richard Gorham
CG Xtreme trigger
Hoehn tuner
Eliseo Chassis
Nightforce Competition
Duplin bipod/SEB joy pod

Some of my current 22lr rifles and a few of the ones I wish I had not sold...

Weatherby Mark XXII made in Italy bought new in 1966 by my father (these with the blond stock and no rosewood tips are kinda hard to find anymore)

Anschutz 54.18 with a Lilja:

Sauer 200STR with a 22lr conversion and a Hensoldt 4-16X56

Sauer with irons

Anschutz 54.18 (I sold it a while back)

Sako Finnfire Range (I also sold it a while back)

My latest project. It is a Stiller 2500XR (repeater) with a Shilen ratchet barrel installed by Killough Shooting Sports, Huber Concepts trigger, APA rings, Bushnell DMR scope, fitted into an Accuracy International AT chassis. I built it to match my AIAT which is behind it.

Ten years of collected parts came together last night. I've lost track of the time spent shaping the partially inletted stock, bought it before the drop-ins became available, but the up pressure on the barrel is very adjustable. Can't wait to shoot it in a silhouette match.

Here is my recently built (finished it about 30 minutes ago) 10/22.
Kidd receiver, Kidd trigger group (trigger breaks at 1.5 lbs.), and Kidd 20" SS barrel. The stock is the new Magpul X-22 in Dark Earth. The bi-pod is an Atlas with ski-feet.
Kidd says the gun should shoot 1/2 " groups at 50 yards. With good ammo I think it will do better. I'll let you know.
Ain't she a beauty. Understated, yet elegant. 8)
