rifling question

Hi Everyone
Wanting to know the pro's and con's on button rifling or cut rifling. While be using it on another 6br project.

hoene72: I have cut rifled Kriegers and button rifled Shilens & Harts, and cannot tell any difference between them. They are all of very high quality. Maybe someone with more skills than I can indicate a preference, and why), from actual experience. Almost like the Chevy vs Ford 'discussions'.

I think the most significant difference I run across is that cut-rifled barrels come to me in the twist ordered, instead of whatever they end up..

And I haven't tested it, but if your contouring, fluting, or cutting down the muzzle for a device AFTER the barrel was lapped, I'd use cut-rifled. Just me.
