Rifle Basix compared to the Sharp SS Comp. Trigger

I have a SSS on my Savage BVSS, breaks nicely at 20 oz. Never had a problem with it. I have a RB on my REm 700, set to 8 oz, and have broken two of these at the sear. RB immediately replaced both at no charge, but I had to return the old ones.

An Experiment for those with a Rifle Basix Sav II trigger.
For all of you who use a Sav II replacement trigger and have it set lower than 12oz.
Please remove the ammunition from the rifle. Then point the muzzle in a safe direction.
Close the bolt so the rifle is cocked with the safety ON. Push the safety OFF and ON about 5 times.
Does your rifle fire on the third or fourth time the safety is pushed off and on without pulling the trigger.
I have adjusted many Rifle Basix Sav II triggers down to 4-6 oz. I have never had one set below 10-12 oz that would not fire by moving the Safety Off and on 3-5 times.
I personally don't recommend or install these triggers for Customers, too much liability .
I installed one on a 308 that I use for target only. Yes, if the safety is fooled with it will pop. No matter how hard I work the bolt, it won't fire. Mine measures at 6 oz. I remove the bolt to make the rifle safe. For hunting, Larry is right, I would not recommend lower than 16 oz. That's just me, YMMV. Don't need this to turn into what the last trigger thread turned into:(

just tried this on my 12BR. trigger is set to 5 oz. Pivot pin on the SAV2 is in the forward hole. I stopped working the safety after 10 tries with no fires.
