Rifle Action

I would like some input guys if you do not mind. I have a browning action for a A-bolt Stalker 300 win mag. I am looking a building a new rifle and plan on using a Broughton C-5 5.75 barrel. I was wanting your thoughts on the Browning action.

Are you planning on getting it blueprinted? It should be fine if you do so. Super smooth action.

I read someplace that barrel removal from the Browning was a major problem. That may not be true but I'd sure talk to someone with experience before starting this project.

I've done some Browning stuff and the ones I've had problems with was the stainless ones. For some reason the theads like to gall when you take them apart. Best of luck, & happy shooting! ! !

IMHO, I would select another action. There are better choices available. As for Broughton Barrels Tim North and Aloma Weaver at North MFG, make excellent barrels and give great service.
