Richards gun stocks or Greg West gun stocks question

I am posting to see if anyone has had experience with Richards Gun stocks or Greg West as it is now if I understand it correctly. I am looking at the M8 laminated stock in particular. How do they stack up to other laminated stocks that are produced for F-class or benchrest etc. . Thanks for your help.

I have had two Richard's stocks which were as advertised. Laminate was good quality. You will need to bed these as the inletting for my stocks was 'basic',Loose). But I pillar and glass bed every gun I own anyway. Exterior is fairly rough so don't spare the sand paper to finish the exterior. Turn around for my actions,Ruger MKII and Arisaka) took about 10 weeks.

I have a cherry laminate F Class stock that I bought from Greg, he made it to my own spec and inletted it for a Barnard P. He hadn't done one of these before, I supplied the dimensions and about 12 weeks later my stock arrived, it is excellent lthough as yet unfinished as ive used a Shehane Trakker on the rifle for this years campaign.

I would certainly buy from Greg again without question,as I would from Bill Shehane)

Both make excellent stocks, but be prepared to do your own finishing and some inletting for both.

Joel Russo's inletting is as good as it gets, rarely will it need any tweaking unlike some of the other high dollar makers. He is usually at a 3 week turn around, email him and check him out..... your apt to save some money if you do....

I use a LowRider on my 6BRX 600 yd Bench gun. I have had 2 008 all there stock are Great.

I have two undertaker complete rifles from Greg West which owns Richards name. Greg bought out Richards Gun stocks. I consider my guns to be real lookers and quality. Both shoot extreemly well and I would not hesitate to order another from Greg. He is friendly and does very quailty work. I took 4th in score at the 600 yd nationals in Sacramento with my 6BR from Greg. I was in so much pain that day that I even forgot to shoot 5 shots in a ten shot match. Still came in fourth with the penalties. Since getting my 6x47, 6.5x47 switch bbl from Greg I am regulary in 1st, 2nd or 3rd in our club shoots, depending on how I am driving that shoot. I recomend Greg West any time. Greg can build you what you want believe me.
