Revisiting the 6 BR (Part 2)

I decided to screw on my 6 BR that Tim Claunch twisted up for my MB action and do a little ladder test at 500 yards with it this morning. Below are the results. They say it ain't a race but damn this one is slow.

Looks like it will take another 1/2 grain to get you in the 2820 range. If thats Varget, then 30.5 with 105`s wiped lots of butts in Memphis till that Brux gave up the ghost.

Tim

I have another target that went up to 30,7 starting at 30.4and it was all verticle and yes it’s Varget and 450m primers.

If its behaving badly, change powder asap. H4895, IMR8208, or the bad word in your vocabulary RL15.....:)

I don't think it's behaving too badly since it shot just over 1" in a .4 grain spread.

Here's the second target that went up to 30.7 grains.

I reckon that 16 fps spread looks looks pretty good (flat).
I'm not a Mid-Range or 600 BR shooter, so a bit of experienced dialogue is appreciated. Will you land in the middle, or work toward 31.1?
