i hope it works out for you- hopefully others that know more about this will chime inYahoo! I might get my stock building business of the ground, yet!
This would be amazing if it means we (in Australia) can buy gear from great businesses in the US!!
I've always felt that all the US restrictions on guns & gear was designed to protect the US manufacturers' franchisees in other countries.

I don't think this would have any impact on your Australian laws.
should have but here in the US it takes the pols a long time to get much done. One big part of this for us is the requirement for gunsmiths doing business only in the US to have an ITAR license should be dropped. Not so much on our laws as long as it isn't semi-auto, you have a gun license and you get an import approval (not difficult for licensed shooters) we can import things. but ITAR and US Dept. Of Commerce regs affect what can legally be exported to outside countries, like Australia.
The current regs are outrageous and make buying things as innocuous as Rifle stocks, scope rails, rings, barrels and even nuts and screws very difficult. The seller (in the US) takes on considerable risk in conducting commerce with parties outside the US as there are complex and usually expensive licensing requirements. It's crazy because there would be considerable opportunities for manufacturers and US businesses with clients in Australia.
I don't get it because these are easy wins and with R's controlling both House and Senate, this should have happened 6mths ago...![]()

Saudi Arabia happens to be one of our biggest buyers. Major dollars for U.S. businesses, no matter which religion they adhere to.I'm all for selling anything to anyone as long as they are not selling to an Islamic country/people. That's a security statement, and not one of bigotry or racism.
If you don't know Political Islam yet, Dr. Bill Warner is your man. It's time everyone knows!
What requirement? FFL's went into frantic overload the last time someone made that claim. Unless the rules were rewritten recently, there is no such requirement. It's spelled out in plain english that it's required to those who "Export" .should have but here in the US it takes the pols a long time to get much done.
