retumbo load data

I would like to shoot nosier 168gr Lr out of my 7 mm Rem Mag and I want to try the powder retumbo but I can't find any good reloading data can anybody help me out Thanks.

out of my 7mm mags I only shoot bergers. for retumbo I use 72.5grs and get 3025 out of 26in bbl. I like h-1000 a little better only as it shoots longer and cleans up great. for windy times I go to berger 180. will probably stay with h-1000 as I have new range at home that we took out to 1500yds and with 67grs h-1000 and 180 berger we get 2950 fps and are hitting at 1425 yds great.

Rockey, personally, I think Retumbo is just a tad too slow for a 7mmRem Mag. You might be able to get it to work with the heaviest bullets and some diligent effort. Methinks that IMR 7828, H1000 and RL-22 is more in line with the correct burn rate. I have used BOTH IMR 7828 and RL-22 extensively in that round and they are excellent! If you MUST use Retumbo because of this shortage, use the heaviest bullets you can obtain.. Anyway, my 2cents worth..

I load for my neighbor in his 7 mag and I was looking at the notebook, we tried Retumbo with no great success. The top 2 powders were RL22 and H1000. We also tried H4831sc and RL19 that were not bad but with the balance of case volume and fps with chosen bullet he likes RL22 plus its easy to find around here.
