The day started out with cold temps and so much fog we couldn’t see 200 yards at times so we got a late start, we even had to stop after a relay or two when it rolled back in. There was a mixture of light, heavy, factory and a sole hunter gun that came to brave the conditions (which were about as tough as I have shot in). I have to say I was a lil nervous having the first all electronic target match but they worked flawlessly even in terrible damp conditions and everyone seemed to really like shooting on them. We had shooters from Mississippi,Kentucky,Virginia, Ohio And TN Come even with the not so pleasant forecast. Most of our local shooters are hunters( which several were doing) so I expect the factory and hunter classes to take off next season. Even with the challenging conditions there were a few nice groups and scores laid down, hats off to those guys! Here are the official results. Thanks Ricky and Karen for all the help yall gave us. I also want thank Jeff Green for making the drive to help us newbies run the match correctly and GBA for supporting Dead Zero.

Looks interesting does the shot that cut the line on iPad count as a 8 or 9 ? The conditions don't look idea that was for sure it was snowing on us about all day sat.
Is GBA rules like williamsport on a loaded round in chamber or on the ramp before record fire?

That shot was a 8, you can’t tell until you zoom in closer to see exactly where each shot is. It scores best edge just like normal scoring. All the rules can be found on the GBA website, I am new and do not want to misquote anything. Conditions were pretty miserable the first match, fog, rain, wind , cold and everything was damp. Come try us out, we will do our best to have a good time! Thanks Troy

What your problem ? Who cares about your 2 dollars.
Troy I just read your post and I will be moving to Chattanooga soon to live with my son .I have a couple questions the first is if the public get to shoot at the same time a match is going on what happens if the shoot a person in the matches target ? Maybe the GBA has a rule to handle this I don't know I'm just asking .Will the up coming match be on electronic targets I know from shooting some f class and keeping up with them the eltronic targets have cause some issues and they only use it for score no group .My understanding is they are only accurate within a 1/4 of a inch . Will records be accepted on electronic in the same category as paper target. I'm just asking . I like eltronic targets but I don't know if they are match ready for small groups.
When are you moving David ?

Please excuse my ignorance and help me understand.

Why can't the electronic targets be used for scoring purposes with official paper target used as a backer to be used only for back up due to an official protest? I see GBA using IBS official paper targets and the electronic target screen above notes it is a IBS target grid. Is there any difference in targets?

Is there a receipt printout from each record electronic target shot?
