“RESULTS” 1000 benchrest club shoot Dead Zero September 14

I'd have to read through the book again, but I don't think it meant you couldn't use it for sighters. They'll never be accepted for record target's obviously. Rules change every year, just change it, I'm sure using e target's for sighters won't be a problem with anyone.

Tom

If you have to move your bag or rest to go from sighter to record I could see a problem.

We will be glad to use electronics at any club level shoot you guys want(they are nice aren’t they), if we become ibs it looks like it will have to be clays and paper. We will know tomorrow evening if we will become ibs or just stay at the club level. Stay tuned

Stay technology advanced with your electronic targets. It's time the sanctioning bodies get out of the stone age, and advance into the future.
No reason why at least the sighter period can't be electronic. Nor the record targets after the cease-fire has been called. The actual record targets could still get measured, entered, and handed out like normal, and for the official results. Subsequent scoring would just be hypothetical, but advancement to real-time technology, regardless.

I notice no one is coming forth with the truth about todays match.
We were soundly beaten by Elaine Lockhart and here 6 BRAI.
Troy also shot great with a 300 WSM.
Lol thanks Randy, I just got off the lawn mower a bit ago. I’m not as good as you with write ups but here goes.
We held the inaugural Dead Zero benchrest 1000 club match today. We shot a two target agg with light and heavy guns. This was a test run and I think it went well. We had a lot of help from a couple Memphis shooters, thanks a million Robby and Jerry! The wind wasn’t real hard but seems the flags never agreed with each other. The dasher dome was represented as well as Kentucky and I’m not exactly where else as it was kind of a blur for me( rookie at this trying to run matches). We shot clays for sighters and paper for score. It was a slower pace so there was lots of good ole talking guns between relays. O I better mention we had a closest to the X pot and Elaine won it! She bought me dinner tonight too. Thanks to everyone that came and hope to se y’all next month. We are still a work in progress and We will be getting some medals in the future for the winners as well. If any of y’all have any pics feel free to post. Thanks again

Troy, there was one guy from Louisana, shooting a 6.5 Creedmore and 6.5 x 284

Jerry Rochelle and Robby Miles.jpg

Jerry Rochelle, birddog, Robby Miles at Dead Zero Shooting Park.
Jerry is in the running for Rookie of the Year award
I am in the running for BS spreader of the Year.
Robby did a great job running the match. He is the
director of matches at MSSA, Memphis Shooting Sports Association.
Couple of great guys and ambassadors to the shooting sports.
They made the trip from Memphis (guessing 5 hours) to help Troy with
the first IBS STYLE match.

I asked Elaine for lessons. Every target she was at the top both score and group. 6 BRAI was humming!!
