Replacement knobs Weaver T36

Greetings all,

Just got a great deal on a Weaver T36 from a forum member.

Love the scope. Hate the adjustment knobs....

Who thought it would be a good idea to not mark them with linear numbers, but instead to put 1 - 4 then back down 4 - 1?

Not too bad for windage but sucks for elevation.

Are there knob options with conventional marking?

Thanks in advance

I believe that the knobs from the T24 are numbered like you want. I saw this in another post quite a while ago.

Call Weaver, I have one of those scopes. I called them and they sent me a pair of knobs, I think they were off of Simmons but they fit correctly.

I had a T36 and hated that numbering system, too. I cured it with a set of T24 knobs, as suggested above. I may be the OP on the post you mentioned as I did post it. T24and T36 knobs are indeed interchangeable.

But then a coupla months later, when a shooting buddy was complaining about the same problem and I recommended the T24 cure, the Weaver rep he called told him that T24 knobs had been changed, and were now numbered the same as T36 knobs. So I guess that solution is out. My friend found another cure--he sold the scope and bought a used Leupold.

I guess Weaver's dopey T-series numbering sequence is OK if you always shoot the same distance, but if you shoot .22 RF at different ranges it'll drive you nuts.

That's the message I got from Weaver recently. Guess I'll have to fix it with a sharpie and tape for now...

Custom turret systems lets you design labels with colors and markings. They work great on my t36. They have a design program on there site. Cost $24

I know it is not what we want, but if you take a short piece of tape and cut it into a 1/4" strip you can cover the 1-4-1 numbers and replace them with pin and ink 0-9 numbers and leave the 1/8th moa increment scale uncovered.

Would be nice to have black tape with white pin, but.........................
