I just got a new Weaver T36 scope to use on my first build. I was looking at it and trying to figure out what the MOA adjustment range was. It's total range was 65 MOA in both windage and elevation. My question is this----Why are the dials calibrated with 9 MOA per revolution rather than 8 or 10? This just didn't make a lot of sense to me and maybe I'm missing something. Can anyone explain the reasoning for this or was that just the threading available for manufacturing.
