Just an FYI for those who are wondering about this. I recently purchased a used XLR Envy from a forum member here that had been skim bedded. My thinking was that I’d figure out a way to remove the bedding and start fresh. You can actually scrape out the bedding with steel punches that are sharp and razor knives, etc. The hard coat anodizing kept the scrapers from doing any damage to the aluminum stock, just be careful and move slow. It took a few hours to complete but no grinders were required and it’s completely back to base. Again just an FYI for those researching on whether or not it’s possible. Good luck!
