Removing one-shot aerosol residue from cases

So I sprayed and sized 300 223 brass for my new 20 Practical. I can not get the darn residue off the cases. Hot water and Dawn did not do it. I have sticky-feeling very clean cases.

Appreciate your thoughts.

Cheers.

I actually do use hot water and Dawn on mine! I put them in a wire-mesh colander and run hot water over them to pre-heat them, then put Dawn on my hands, and rub all the brass down, scooping them up and turning them over between my hands, until they're all rubbed clean with the soap. Then spray off real good, then dump the bunch in a bowl with fresh hot water, shake, drain, and run hot water into the bowl and change water until clear and no bubbles. Get's the soapy water out of the insides. Shake and bake in oven 170 degrees half hour on cookie sheet. Mine come out nice and clean. But the rubbing them with soapy hands I think does the trick, not just putting them in soapy water.

I also use hot water/Dawn (a lot of Dawn) and a very little bit of Lemishine . I make up enough to cover the cases fully in whatever container they are in, for a total of four washes. Then I rinse/soak the cases for 5-10 minutes per each soak (four times total) in this mixture, swirling the cases gently a few times during each soak/rinse cycle. Afterward, the cases are rinsed several time in hot water alone, quick-dried on the outside in a towel, then dried in the food evaporator for 30-40 minutes. I literally SOAK the cases inside/outside with One Shot Lube when re-sizing brass and have never had any issue removing all of it using this approach. I typically do this with about 100-150 pieces of brass at a time.

I clean my brass using ultrasound and Lyman's liquid brass cleaning solution in water with a quick squirt of lemon-shine added to the mix. I rinse the cleaned pieces of brass in a metal basket with warm to hot water.

Spill it out into a paper towel lined aluminum foil baking pan, then roll the brass , mostly dry, using a hand-held paper towel. I've not found/felt any residue from the One-Shot after doing this.

I have a 50 pin (like nails pounded into a wood board) case holder I place the cleaned brass in, upside down, to make sure they are completely dry (over night normally) before further processing. I can get them thoroughly dried quicker if I place them in front of a small space heater. Or set next to a window in the Arizona sun.

Hard for me to distinguish my fired brass from my new in box brass. In both looks and feel. lg

+1 for dry corn cob media. I tumble cases for about an hour after the final sizing. They are clean and dry after that. If the media sticks to your brass, you can put a dryer sheet in the media with the brass.

I have seen posts real similar to this on other forums and I'm still at a loss? I have been using One Shot for a few years not with no issues. I place all my cases in a reloading tray tilt it slightly and give them a quick blast, rotate 90 degrees and blast again. Wait about a minute or so and resize then wipe off with a hand towel and go. I'm confused on what is so hard to clean off? Are we sure it's One Shot case lube and not One Shot gun lube,... I have seen that happen before.

Hornady one shot case lube. I follow directions on the can. Spray at 45 angle from all sides - waiting one minute between.

In this case, the sprayed cases had to wait 2 months for my rifle to come in. Cases are gummy sticky to the touch after the hot water/Dawn treatment. Will use more Dawn.

I fully prep (size, trim, chamfer, and polish mouths) clean cases before final cleaning prior to loading.
