Removing Imperial Sizing Lube

All semi auto's require some form of full length sizing, to keep from "lube wrinkles"on the shoulder I've switched from "Pam"
to Imperial Sizing Lube. It works great up to the point of trying to get it off the cases. Last night I tried DAWN & hot water, "no joy". :-X So what are you using to clean it off your cases ?

........... and again. Or wipe with a cotton cloth. There's no reason to use any 'wet' method.

another +1. I used to use a shell holder, chucked in a power drill, and then just ran a paper towel over the case while spinning it to remove lube. It always worked pretty well, although time consuming which is why I stopped using Imperial. But, it seems like just wiping it off by hand is doing the job well enough for other guys...

Thank you, processing 500+ cases at a time and wiping would take up an evening of worthless TV, except for the RA in both hands. I'll try the acetone, Maybe some "Simply Green" and report back.

I have 2 sets of corn-cob media. One for removing lube, and the other for cleaning cases. I just throw them in the tumbler for an hour or two and viola! no lube.

Problem solved, took one 5 Gal. bucket, added about 10 Oz. of "Simply Green" and about 1.5 Gal. of water. dump in a coffee can [the plastic 27.8 oz size] full of 223 cases. Then started dumping the load from one bucket to another for a total of 5 dumps, caught cases in a colander, emptied cases into another 5 gal. bucket with clear water to rinse them , placed cases on a work towel in the sun.
Repeated process for two more coffee cans full of cases. Total time Apx. 20 min. end result, close to 1200 sized and ready to prime cases.

I just wipe them with an old hand towel and 90 percent rubs right off.

I've been using this stuff since 1989 and this method is time proven. But I would say 98% comes off.
My method also. It is fast and easy and one of those methods where you can do a few or a lot at a time. I use the Blue Scott Shop Paper Towels. A good place to buy these in bulk for a good price is Sams Club.

Seems like some of you guys are using wayyyy to much of that lube stuff on your cases if your going through all that to clean it off.

May be, but using a SB sizing die, AND having to go through the PITA work to get a stuck case out of a die, it's easier for me to touch the lube with one finger, touch that finger to the thumb, with that set up I can pick up 4 223 cases and size them before repeating the process. And as I said before I can clean 1200 (+ -) in about 20 min. So, for my peace of mind a little ?? more lube is worth it.

Dawn and hot water in the kitchen sink has always worked for me. You do have to agitate, a bit.

Rubbing Alcohol on cloth works wonders.

After turning brass I use a Naphtha (coleman camp stove fuel) bath to take off all the lube from the inside of the case. This works very very well.
