removing bedding

I just bought a used choate varmint stock and the sell forgot to mention is was bedded. Is there any way to remove the bedding or something to soften it up so i can pop it loose?

Mill out the bedding.
OR
Break out the die grinder to relieve the bedding prior to rebedding.

I would use a mill, if you do not have a mill than you can use a die grinder like Dans40x said or a dremal tool.

You can also use a heat gun and a curved blade chisel. This will remove the excess material then you can sand out the rest.

Ya it just dawned on me to try a soldering iron and chisel, i dont think i want to try the propane torch;^)

The soldering iron worked very well, Ill touch it up with an exacto and a few strokes of fine sand paper. thanks all
