Removed the ejector pin

I just cut the ejector spring down so the pin stays flush with the face of the bolt. I remove the fired cases by hand. So now I can just remove the bolt, and the firing pin assembly when I am setting case sizing or bullet seating.

Curiouse why cut the spring vs just removing the whole assembly.
I didn't want an empty hole in the bolt face that could accumulate debris. Also, concerned about the pressure possibly extruding case bottom into the hole, also assuming some spring pressure may occur and help with this with the pin flush. (I have not gotten any indication of extrusion or excess pressure)
Plus I had purchased a new spring which I keep with my Rem and Stiller parts before I cut down the old spring so I could go back if needed.

Good idea.
