Remington

Who is it.
Roundhill Group LLC purchased the Ilion operation minus the Marlin line along with the handgun barrel factory and auxiliary property in Lenoir City, Tennessee, for $13 million when Remington Outdoor Company’s assets were broken up and sold in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Alabama.

What was the auxiliary property in LC, TN used for???
The Lenoir, TN location is referred to as a handgun barrel manufacturing plant. IIRC, Storm Lake Barrels is located in Lenoir and was purchased by Freedom Group (AKA Remington).

Are Remington ammunition products included in this sale? Or was that sold previously to some other group of dorks? It would be great to see another plant up and running cranking out ammo and components, for many reasons.

Don't know if they are "dorks" but a little company that also owns Federal (Vista Outdoor) bought the ammo company, and actually owns the "Remington" name which is being licensed to Roundhill.

I don’t think it will work out trying to make firearms in the state of New York. The Ilion NY plant is antiquated and filled with Union and regulatory problems. The Alabama plant might be worth trying to make a go of it but I’m not sure what Roundhill got.

It's my opinion the part of Remington that Roundhouse purchased will be another disaster waiting to happen.
It was only 13 million and that's a drop in the bucket when your trying to make "quality firearms. The machinery is antiquated, except for maybe Alabama, and they will go down the same toilet as previous
leadership and history has shown us. Might not be a dead horse they're beating but it's a might lame old nag.

I thought that was for the Ammo Div.

So all employees were laid off by the former owners of Remington. That's sad but when a company goes bankrupt This is what happens.

Now a new company has purchased Remington's assets. It's a new company, so why do they need to negotiate with the union? These jobs were lost and no longer exist. You would think that the former employees would need a job and be willing to work for what the company can afford to charge. If you don't like the pay offered, don't take the job. That way you can sit home and eat oatmeal.

The company will need to update equipment and shave expenses in order to keep the product sold at a competitive price. Remington has suffered from bad management and poor quality for a long time.

Unions live for today and the hell with tomorrow. They should be sitting down with the companies and make sure their demands allow the company to make a profit.
