Remington VLS vs VSSF II both .22-250

Folks
I know one is laminated not fluted , and the other is synthetic and fluted.
Other than that what’s the difference? Triggers or what.
Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Besides the stock differences and one has a fluted barrel the VSSF is stainless action and barrel VLS is chromoly action and barrel. Triggers may be different from year to year but I think if you're comparing same year build they're likely same same.

I have one of each. Both are excellent rifles and shoot like a house of fire. Both of them are of the early 2000s vintage, so the fit and finish were great. I suppose the question boils down to this, do you like blued steel on wood or stainless on synthetic. When my VLS was in its original form, the only thing I did to it was pillar bedding. These days, I'd pick the VLS.

I have both, VLS in 7-08 and VSSF in 22-250. I like them both, they shoot great. I prefer the feel of the VLS. Both came with jeweled bolts, nice rifles from a once great company.
