Remington 700 Timney vs Trigger-Tech

Folks,
I've got two 700s, one is a VLS the other is a VSSF II, both for varmint hunting and daylight coyotes in 22-250.
I purchased a HS stock from a VSSF to drop the VLS in, if it fits?
Searching for a new trigger-Canjar and Jewell are closed so I guess is a Timney or Triger-Tech.
What's the consciences on the two triggers? Thank you in advance for your time, help and consideration.

I have 2 Trigger Techs and 2 Timney's. Trigger Tech's are crisper and more consistent with pull weight. OTOH the Timney's are a much better than the factory triggers that were in my RPR and Model 70. Still a win for me.

Both are great triggers. If I had to rate after market trigger based on ownership/experience, it'd be:

TriggerTech <- Timney <- Shilen <- Rifle Basix (not worthy of buying)

I really like the Timney HIT trigger. Their 510 triggers are fine for hunting rifles, but I think use the HIT on varmint rifles. The TT is a nice trigger but the Timney is made in the USA, TT comes from Canada. I like to buy USA products.

I use triggers that adjust 1.5-3# on my winter coyote/fox rifles. On below zero days, my bare hands/fingers loose dexterity with a minute or two. So I wear Nomex flight gloves with insulated mitts/choppers over them. Shoot with the flight gloves, triggers under 1.5# can be a feel issue. For me 2# 10-12 oz is a good winter weight. My hands have been so cold I have had to look to see if my finger was on the trigger.
I have one M700(17 rem) from the mid 80's still has the factory trigger, reworked by a smith friend, love that trigger doesn't feel like 2# 12 oz, probably a couple thousand critters on that trigger.

I have to agree.

I have one M700 TT and I like it a lot and would buy again.

Not many options for the model 70 so for the SPR that started to fail I bought a Timney. It’s not quite as crisp but certainly very good for my use. The only reason I think the FN OEM model 70 trigger failed is the gunsmith that barrelled the gun worked on it and took it to the edge. Years later I caught that the adjustment had moved losing the sear clearance in the process. I just couldn’t reset it without going heavy to avoid it slipping. Instead of fixing it I said to hell with it and replaced it.

go with timmney 700 hit trigger way better than trigger tech and it goes to 8oz if you want trigger tech are finicky do to rem fireing pin springs being heavier
