Remington switch barrel?

It is possible to make a switch barrel with two bolts? I have a Rem 700 with a .223 that shoots lights out and now have a 6.5x47 barrel that I would like to put on the action with a new bolt. Would it make sense, or should I wait until the .223 barrel is shot out?
Thanks
Scott

If you want to wait 'til the 223 barrel is shot out, you're looking at approx. 4K rounds. That's what I got out of a couple of Krieger's on my AR-15's and that included a lot of rapid fire in the CMP & NRA Hi Power matches where rapid fire is required. With a "slow" bolt gun and reasonable use, it could last longer. No big deal to pickup an extra bolt & have it fitted for the 6.5x47 case head. JMO, what I would do. :)

It's done a lot more than you would think, 2 of my rifles have have both the small and medium faced bolts..
