Remington sub company?

I was shopping black wheels for the SxS and found these wheels from Remington online. And yes it is part of the same company that makes the rifles.
They call it “Remington Offroad Wheels”
I never heard of them before??? Rifles aren’t back in production but these wheels are.

Anybody know when this Remington offshoot company started? I wonder if they are trying to take the name in a different direction? They make some really good looking wheels at very affordable prices so I’m happy to have stumbled upon them :)

That’s something— are you sure it isn’t some company that just licensed the name?

I thought that but it’s no doubt Remingtons registered trademark. The company that makes them is called HDP so not sure how it all works but somehow the wheels are tied in with the Remington firearms company. Been trying to find details about the relationship and how HDP is using the Remington trademark on the wheels but not much info on that out there.
Mabie we will start seeing more remington items. I thought vista purchased the remington name and so mabie this has something to do with them.

Licensing agreement. They get the use of the corporate name, logo and anything they $$$$negotiated for. You'll see more of this in the future as the bad taste in our mouth wanes.
Ok that makes sense. I figured they must have had to pay a significant amount of money to use the trademark. Not a bad marketing strategy by HDP because when I saw the “Remington” name on wheels it immediately caught my attention.

Kind of like Caterpillar and Harley-Davidson. Does anyone think that Caterpillar really has a hand in making work boots or shop fans. Big companies use this kind of "branding" to keep their logos in front of their target audience. They utilize products that their primary marketing targets use in their daily lives. Harley-Davidson has been doing it for years - to promote a lifestyle.

I didn't see anything for my '95 Civic...
Yeah they got em. Ask about model 700 extractors when you order the wheels.

Got my extractors from Pacific Tool and Gauge.

I got an email from PT&G today,

”The extractors are not in stock at the moment, however you can order now and be close to the front of the list when they are done.”

Good there’s a source, they made a few model 700s and not everyone wants a Sako or M16 extractor.

You know those new owners of Remington Firearms are trying to get a little return on their
investment as they try to figure out what to do with that "pig in the poke" that they
bought. I just wonder if the firearms division did this or the ammunition (Vista Outdoors)
as VO is using the Remington name on their ammo. Who really has the rights to the trademark? Some food for thought.
