Remington Primers

FYI,

I had noticed that Remington had removed rifle and pistol primers from their website some time ago. Yesterday I sent a question to them about supplying those items in the future and received the following response:

"We are shipping primers at this time.
It just has taken awhile due to materials issues and trying to get out loaded rounds.
You will see more primers in 2023 on shelves."

They had CCI 400 and 450 but the only Remington on the shelf were the 9 1/2. As you said, I'm just glad to see something besides an empty shelf.

Is that Remington's price or the LGS jacking up the price because they can? :(
I'd blame it on the LGS except that they had CCI 400, 450, 300 and 500 for $79.99/K, your choice no limit. Maybe they can't keep LRPs in stock? I've noticed they're always a bit high on stuff but they usually have things unless they're just unobtainable, too.

I love the 71/2s but I refuse to pay 120.00 for one brick. It is outrageous. And yes I will quit shooting over this, just so sick of dealers ripping us off with high pricing when they originally raised the prices on primers and bullets as non precious metals spiked but have since come down but not the darned price.

Before you condemn the dealers give a thought to what you're paying for groceries and gasoline now.

A couple of months ago ; a shooting friend of mine back in Kentucky called me at 5:30 a.m. , Phoenix time , to tell me that KYGUN had Rem 7-1/2's in stock . I didn't even grab that first cup of Just jumped on the computer , and phone at the same time . I scored the last 5,000 they had , and spent the day smiling . Best part ; besides finding the primers , was the price . It was $430.00 out the door . And NO Hazmat and NO shipping . I kept thinking I was dreaming , till the UPS guy rang my door-bell . Some days ARE better than others . ....NOW ; If we could just get Berger to crank out some 185 Jugg Targets , and some 200.20X . Life would be good .

Primers are not a necessity . Some things I must buy. Some things I want to buy.My Springer air gun does not need primers. I can live without them. At some point you must make the decision. I will not wear a mask. I will not get a fake "vaccine". I will not pay a ridiculous price for reloading components. One last time....let them sit on the shelf, the price will come down. Every gun shop I know had tons of 9mm and 5.56. Saw 9mm for 15.95 per box of 50 today.

I was at Academy Sports yesterday and saw a lot of Remington loaded ammo on the shelf that’s a good start hopefully components will be coming soon

.30 CALIBER 185 Juggernaut target bullets are on the current production list . No start or finish date yet. But if all goes well look for them after the first of the year. In the meantime get on those notify lists!

I know an individual that works at the Remington ammo plant in Arkansas. When I saw him Augist I asked him a few things and he assured me after the first of the year we will see more Remington primers.

Its an isolated comment against price jacking for ammo, powders, primmers and such, this is the forum for shooters and those topics, right?

YEP ! It's the right place . I think we all go through periods of frustration trying to find "OUR" select components , and it boils over on occasion . And nobody is immune to it , in my mind .

Thanks for the heads up , Phil . I'm on the list at Bruno's for 1,500 , and a couple of other places as well .
