Federal makes their money supplying ammo for our military and other NATO members. Producing primers for the general public is peanuts to them.

We have gone though this same song and dance every few years with only certain items suddenly getting hard to get. Its got ZIP to do with elections. Like JRS says and if you'll remember barrels became a problem (a few years ago) to get with longer than usual wait times and when you contacted manufacturers, they told you 6-9months. So echoing JRS, Federal like many barrel companies, have military contracts which gets FIRST SHOT at all components. So even when Federal is running their machines 24/7, when the military orders 25,000,000 -100,000,000 (that's MILLION) primers, it take time and civilians have to sit on their behinds and be patient. So knock yourself out and vote for whomever you believe will make you Federal Primers appear. In the meantime, consider using CCI primers as I've found they are a very good replacement for Federal Primers which I too prefer.

Powder Valley is out of every Federal primer with the exception of shotshell and large pistol. You had me excited that I was going to get 210M's.

Since Federal is one of the companies that is under the ATK "umbrella", I'm afraid that the "bottom line" is the only thing that the holding companies are interested in! They'll screw the customers who have supported them through "thick & thin"! Of course, when you're owned by a holding company, you really don't have a lot control over what you make or even much control of your destiny! Witness the new Marlin Lever Actions, at one time they were wonderful rifles, now that they've been taken over, the stocks appear to have been shaped with a dull axe from wood from old outhouses!
