Remington Model 7

I have a Model 7 with a bolt for the ARC/Grendel family of cartridges. Did Remington made a bolt to fit the 223/5.56 family of cartridges? I have seen bolts for the 308. I want to build SBR.

Yes, there are bolts for the 223 family.

Send to LRI,Inc. Have them put in a M-16 extractor and sleeve the bolt for a .223

I just used the last one I had on an xp-100 build for a buddy. Last resort you could reach out to PTG. Overall I hate buying stuff from them. If they tell you 6-8 weeks expect 6-8 months minimum.

XR-100 bolt should work. PTG might still have some in stock. Thats where I bought mine.

Thanks, I just ordered a 223 bolt from them but they are on backorder, already ordered my barrel from Shilen. Now if I can find a benchrest stock for the Model 7
