I am swapping a Simmons 3x9X 32mm scope for a 6.5x20X 44 mm scope. I was hoping to use the same tipoff rings and mounts that came with the 32 mm bell, but unfortunately, the bigger scope is longer and the bell hits the rear sight before the bottom of the front ring. :-[
I discovered (hadn't noticed when I installed the first scope) but in addition to the dovetail, the Mdl five receiver also appears to have the half circle hollows cut into the receiver for a Weaver style mount. Has anyone ever used a Weaver mount on the Mdl Five? Would I be able to use Medium height, or would I need to go to the high rings for a 44 mm objective bell? By the way, that is one shooting machine. It is giving my CZ Silhouette fits in the "Who shoots better." department. DF
