remington mdl 7 thread

Is a barrel threaded for a model 700 rem going to be even close or useable for a rem mod 7. Just needing to ck before I get into a project.

I used a 22-250 barrel off an Etronx 700 action and put it on my Model 7 action with no problems so I assume you'll be fine with yours.

Just remembered, I swapped the 260 Krieger barrel on the Model 7 for the 22-250 barrel on the 700 Etronx. No problems either way, screwed 'em on & head spaced 'em and the job was complete. Both shoot extremely well!

The threads are all the same for the 700's, and the Model 7, you may or may not run into a headspace problem. Be sure to check that out carefully....
