We'll if they are closed I wonder what they will do with the 15 barrels I just ship to them last Friday.

The Remington Custom Shop was moved to Dakota Arms (owned by Remington) quite some time ago. Remington sent them the barrel making equipment, which no one at Dakota knew how to use, so they have been using other barrel makers barrels. They built me a Target Master on a 40X Action with my reamer and put a Krieger Barrel on it and a Jewel Trigger.
They were much easier to work with than the Ilion location of the custom shop once Tim McCormick had retired as the manager many years ago.

You can also look up TS Customs he does alot work on Rem 700 actions and very good guy

That is because when they bought Dakota they basically bought a file cabinet full of papers.
I'm brand new to this site but there is a smith in Duson, La. named John Powers who does very nice work with Remington actions. He is a member of ACGG and his website is https://powersmetalworks.com/.
