Remington brass in a Lapua chamber??

From what I have seen in the posts and articles about brass, Remington brass can be fired in a Lapua size chamber.Sound right to you? Correct me if I'am wrong! Lapua brass is "back ordered" at a few of the places that I checked out.,got 400 back ordered)
Looks like a "very" popular" size round. With all the benchrest shooters using it, no wonder I can't get any!
What about using Remington brass for starters? Is it worth using? Any problems with it? All opinions welcome, and thanks for the input. Mike.

The Remington & the Lapua brass are made to the same specks. They are the same length. Remington makes their brass to the BR Norma standard. The only difference I can measure is the diameter 3/16" in front of the rim is about .006 smaller on the Remington cases. You may see a little swell in front of the case head, like you see in all factory rifles. I don't know how good the Remington cases are, I don't have my 6MM together. I have some that I wanted to compare.,Rem/Lapua) Hope this helps.

My question came up because Lapua brass is "backordered" at 4 different places that I checked. I needed a "dummy round" to get a chamber cut on the barrel that I was going to order. I sent a email to Shilen and asked if one, short throat chamber) could be cut without a dummy. Bill replied that a 6BR short throat is "normal". Not a problem!:D So my barrel has been ordered. Like fruit? How bout them apples!!:thumb:
This will make the second barrel that I have gotten from them. And I won't mess with a good thing!;)
