BoydAllen said:The basic issue with the 788 trigger design, beyond the lack of adjustments, is that the same spring is used for the sear and trigger. It pushes up on the sear, and down on the trigger. Years back, a company used to sell an inexpensive kit that contained three different springs for that trigger. I installed the lightest and found it a big improvement. If you already have a 788, I can understand why you would want to improve or replace the trigger, but if you are considering buying one, unless it can be had for a bargain price, I think that a 700, or 722 would be a much better choice.
