I never saw or have heard of a 722BDL.

Here’s one made in 1954, it’s a .222 that was rechambered into 22-250 with the original barrel

I picked this rifle up a few months ago from a local gun shop for 400 dollars. The barrel code dates it to 1954 but it was rechambered from .222 too 22-250 using the original barrel. It wasn’t until I did some research to realize the deluxe models are pretty scarce. I know the rechambered barrel hurts the value but I still think I made a good purchase

Great find,very nice.
Rifles are only Worth what someone is willing to pay for it.
I would use it like any of my other rifles, when they need a barrel, I rebarrel.

That is the original bolt handle.

What kind of value would you guys put on this rifle? I might end up selling it for another rifle

Here's a 722 that I came across a while back. When I acquired it, it was a just a heavily rusted barreled action with the bolt, chambered in 300 Savage.
No stock or bottom metal but the rifling looked pretty good.
Found a decent Walnut blank. Fitted shop made low profile sling mounts, shop made grip cap, bottom metal is modified from a commercial Mauser. Used Devcon aluminum for bedding and pillars. Fitted a Neidner butt plate and Seiko extractor. Subbed out the bluing and trigger work to local gunsmith. Scope is a 2-7 Leupold. Lastly, made a hand type reloading die.
