Remington 700 trigger pins - anyone make their own or have a good source?

:)Now fellers, no reason to fuss.

I just got done re-installing the trigger on the build I'm doing, and I'm a pretty rank amateur. I used dremil shafts as slave/retainer pins to help me for the procedure. NEXT TIME, I will make sure my pins and holes are clean enough to permit a slide fit in the receiver, and finish up with either a punch dent, or more likely a dab of blue Loc Tite. jd

Once you get the brld action in the stock, they can't go anywhere anyway.

But they can go far enough to allow your sear to become unsupported in stocks inlet for some aftermarket triggers (Jewell)

Im at work and cant find a length for slave pins for the trigger assembly. Any one know the length to cut them at?

Thanks

I checked McMaster and MSC. They are plumb out of floating drill rod. Not sure when they will get more. They both have tons of the sinking stuff. ;-) Brownells, however, is a source of stock Remington bolt stop and sear pins by the bushel.
Holy s***, that made me bust a gut laughing and all but paint the screen with coffee spray. That's for a great start this morning.

I have a Remington 700 action that I am going to make a rifle out of. It was a stripped receiver and I had a bolt and most of the other parts. I needed trigger pins and a pin for the bolt stop. I was picking up arc welding rods at the welding supply and got SS tig rods while I was there. The salesman asked which tig roods I wanted as there was more than one alloy. I told him what ever was stronger/tougher and I am gong to use these to make my trigger pins. I measured them and they are dead om .125. Anybody see a problem?
