Remington 7 1/2 primers question?

I do. They load about the same as CCI 450's for me. Only negative is they sort into more piles than 450's (at least that is the case for my lots). I'd surely buy more if I could find them for anything close to a decent price.

I can buy some Remington br 7 1/2’s, I have never used these primers.
Let me know if you have experience with them.

Thanks,
Mitch
They have performed equal to CCI 450's and BR-4's in my 6.5x47 Lapua with Reloader 15 and 123Gr. Scenars. They also worked well in my service rifle loads in the .223 with 77 grain Sierras and 24.5 gr, of Realoader 15

Rem 7 1/2 is a very popular Pet Load component for XTC Service Rifle competition and in any competition circles for the AR platform. If you don't like them, I am sure you would be able to trade or sell them off to a nearby Service Rifle shooter.

I use mostly CCI or Federal primers only because it has a slightly large diameter than the Rem's. Even though some of the brass I used in the past was new, the Rem primers would not stay seated. No issue with CCI or Federal's.

I use them in the 223 for XTC service rifle and match rifle. I do not test primers except if they go bang and all that I have tested went bang.

I don’t recall if this is 200 or 300 yards,

I was primer testing a 6 br, the rem 61/2 are not suited for that application at all in fact several pierced that day.
Added; I bought every primer I could find to test my established load however if I were to test again I would run an abbreviated ladder of each primer to ensure I captured the possible node movement of each primer.

I switched to the Rem 7 1/2 primer when Winchester switched plating on their SR primers and I got several slam fires with my AR-15 Service Rifle. I have purchased literally 12,000+ over the years and fired them in 3 different AR's in 223, 6.5 Creedmoor Lapua SRP, 6BR-Norma, and soon 6 Dasher. I have never had a pierced primer or failure to fire. I can't say the same with Federal SRP Match or CCI 400's. Since I do not weigh primers I can't speak to weight uniformity but they are not holding back my scores in F-Class or BR. I would recomend them and wish I had more.

I use only Rem 7 1/2's for F-class .308 Not a single failure , mis-fire or perforated primer in over Three years , since being forced to switch from S&B SRP's . Got my first 200 -20X with them at 600 , and they are a consistent primer for me . I tried every primer I could get my hands on for five years , and went with the Rems....Anybody out there wants to get rid of their old "junk" Rem 7 1/2BR's , just send them . I'll dispose of them in a safe manner . In the TEN RING .
