remington 6mmBR brass

i dont care for any of the remington brass. it is over price junk--thats my opinion anyhow. switch to lapua if you can

Now that's funny!! :o Cmillard complains about Remington brass being over priced then recommends Lapua which is even more expensive!! I use Remington exclusively and have no trouble with it. I have a target that with Remington brass and the gun bolted into a machine rest has a five shot one hole group measuring less than .100 of an inch. Remington brass works fine for me. ;D

what i was referring to--if you are going to spend the money--you might as well get lapua. i buy winchester for my .223 and .300 win--which is better and cheaper than remington. for my 6br, i use lapua

it may work fine for some--ive just had bad expirences with it. winchester has been having problems with quality control lately though.

If you've acquired a "bunch" of new Remington 6mmBR then use them with no worries about accuracy in your rifle.
There are some dimensional differences between Rem. and Lapua brass. The Remington dimension is slightly smaller(6mmRemBR) than the Lapua(6mmBRNorma) which is why Lapua brass won't fit in older Rem. 6mmBR chambers. The flash hole in the Lapua is smaller than in the Remington. While some say this is a factor, I haven't been able to prove it.
When I first bought my 6mmBR I couldn't resist buying a "bunch" of very inexpensive Remington brass. Since that time I have also acquired a "bunch" of Lapua. Accuracy wise in my rifle, I can't tell the difference.
The quality of the Lapua brass is obvious. With a little extra care such as uniforming the primer pockets, neck sizing and annealing the Remington brass will provide the same servicability.

I have of those cassings and they shoot ok but I have to down load them compaired to the loads I can put in my lapua brass. I say load them and shoot them.

olsingleshot,

I have shot a 6 & 7BR, before the Norma and Lapua was made. The Remington brass is good, but the Lapua 6BR is some of the best brass made. If you can get it cheaper, it works fine. The Lapua can take higher pressure load than the Rem. The lapua brass is so good, there is on need for neck turning, and you can use a 0.272" no turn neck and be as good a neck turned brass, not so with the Remington.

The preformance of the 6mmBR comes from Lapua brass. This is why you read about the accuracy of the 6Br, 6BRX, 6 Dasher, etc, it is the brass that is doing this. When looking for the best accuracy, buy the best brass you can get in any round, it makes a difference

I just look at where I get my brass, the Rem is $2.00 higher than the Lapua. I would not use the Rem if it was half the price. That is just me.

Thanks folks for your impute. I shoot .22BR and 6mmBR and have used Lapua extensively in the past. Lapua recently had a price increase (like everyone else) and this Remington brass was priced right. I was just curious before I started using it. By the way the best price I can find for Lapua 6mmBR brass is at E.A. Brown. Your information is very much appreciated.

Use it Remington is all I use. I quit buying Lapua after the first batch I bought was so bad. If you want weigh it, but in most cases unless you are shooting in competition it will not be needed.
