rem7.5br primers any good? for 6mmbr and 6.5x47

I just got my hands on a couple of rifles chambered in 6mmbr and 6.5x47 and i have about 15000 Remington 7.5 br primers i don't see any data using these primers and i was wondering if any of you had any experience with them with these particular cartridges.

Good, hot brisance, tough cup, all arounf really good primer. Most have their own personal oppinion about which primer they use and why. You won't go wrong with your 15000 7 1/2's.

For quite sometime I used Federal 205's in my 6PPC and 30BR. Then their quality seem to go down hill, about the same time that hoarding primers was in vogue.

I went to 7.5's out of necessity and have been very happy with their performance. Never once a click, after pulling the trigger several thousand times. A great primer!

Thanks guys I figure why spend more money
Unless there was a reason I never saw any recipes
That use the 7.5's I guess I'll try em and if I get one hole
Groups great if not then I'll move along to some of the others

What he said! ;)

I picked up 50,000 of those about 2.5 years ago, right before primers got hard to get. They are good primers for .223.

I have been using CCI 450's for my 6BR Norma round, just because everyone says to. I bet you will be just fine with those 7.5's.

One hole groups are not made by primers alone.

There's a whole host of variables you've gotta get right, including the powder/case/primer/bullet combination that your particular barrel likes, plus fine tuning with neck tension and bullet seating depth.

There's also proper gun handling, front rest, front and rear sand bags setup, and wind doping/wind reading [via flags] that are contributors too.

The Primer is not an exclusive accuracy fix-all component.

Howie,
You should be just fine with those. That is one primer that I never did try though.
