This may be covered somewhere else if so bare with me I am a newbie here. I haven't actually been living in a cave, however what is the lowdown on the Rem 587 or 597 .22mag, whichever it is. I friend found one for 300 bux and called me about it, with my reply being I had never heard of a Rem .22 mag. After research I find that it must have been discontinued as was the Ruger 10/22 mag though it is still listed on Rems website. I said buy it for kicks and grins as the price is cheap considering what the Rugers did when they left production. Any informed comments will be appreciated.
