Remington 597 anyone?

I have the Rem 597 in 17 hmr. There was a recall on this model with the 17 hmr. Apparantly the 17 hmr is dangerous or has safety issues with this rifle. Rem is willing to buy back your rifle for $200.00.
I am keeping mine since I paid over $300.00 and it works fine for me.
