Remington 40XB in 6mm ?

I understand that Remington's Custom Shop will make a 40XB in one of the 6mm wildcats based on the .250 Savage case. Can anyone tell me which it is? There's the 6mm International with the shoulder pushed back, the 6mm-250 with the shoulder left at the original position, and who knows what other variations there are!

I have 40XB in 6x284 from them. I don't think that cartride is offered in other std models. If it's a "custom shop" they should make one for you in ANY caliber, right ? Just call 'em.

After contacting the Custom Shop at Remington, I found out that they will only make the 6x47 along with the listed calibers. I then decided to have an existing 40XB re-barreled to 6mm/.22-250,or 6mm/250 Savage.) There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of loading data for the cartridge though!

Dennis,

There's some good data on Hodgdon's site for the 6mm-250. I shoot the Ackley version and you might want to consider the AI chambering also. Brass life for the standard 250 case is pretty short due to the rather severe body taper.
