Rem VTR vs TAC 700 ???

The gunshop guy is suggesting getting one Remington TAC 700, think it's called STS or something like that and one VTR, instead of 2 VTR 223s.

What do you guys think? They're 599 for the TAC, and 659 for the VTR.

hello,if its in the budget get a 5r milspec.308/223.they both shoot really well.i have both.cost is around 1000.00 i love mine too death.

I had a VTR in a 223 and the rifle would show flashes of greatness, and thats about it.I would never own another one.I have a Tikka T3 that I like much better.
