Rem. 700 extractor

I have a new Rem. 700 that I would like to remove the extractor to have the bolt face trued up. The extractor will move a little but I can't get under it to get it out of the bolt face. This is the snap in style. How do they come out ?????????

They are spring loaded, and need to be eased out carefully or you'll need to replace it..
Brownells has a cutter to do you want done with out removing the extractor.....

Take a small flat screw driver and work the extractor clockwise until the edge gets around to the relief in the bolt face. Then you can get it out. This, provided its not riveted in.

leave it in and either buy the HSS cutter or grind you own, there is zero need to remove it to true a bolt face.
