Rem. 700 bolt face

I have a question about the bolt face on a Rem. 700. I currently have a bolt with a Sako extractor in a 700 chambered in 6PPC. A 6mmBR case will fit nicely into the end of the bolt. I know that the 6mmBR uses a .473 bolt face but what is normal in a 6mmPPC? Will the Rem. 700 bolt with a .473 face work with the PPC cartridge or does it have to have the Sako extractor installed in order to work properly? I guess what I would like to know is this. Is it normal practice to leave the .473 bolt face alone in the Rem. 700 when using the PPC? Thanks and I hope you can understand what I'm trying to ask. I'm not the best at explaining it.

I used a .473 BF on my Rem 700 VH rifle for two years. The rifle was originally chambered in a short .308 for HC. When I went to VH and the PPC, I changed nothing but the barrel. As stated earlier, I used this rifle for 2 years and never had an extraction failure.
