I have two 700 clones, both chambered in 7 RSAUM AI a Defiance single shot (my go to F-open rig) and a Pierce repeater, used for fire forming.
They are both long actions in Bobby Hart stocks the Pierce has a shot out barrel that I use for fire forming, it is a repeater with a home made single shot follower, so there is no bedding material in the mag well area, just on the ends, however this stock tracks better and has an adjustable butt plate and cheek piece. I want to swap stocks, so my question is, should I clean up and bed the area that has no bedding material or just swap and see how it shoots with existing bed job, or are the plus minus tolerances too much from one action to another and will require a bedding job no matter what ? TIA
