On a single shot, no, no issues.I'm considering a rifle build using a Rem 700 single shot short action and 6BR cartridge. Will there be any cartridge feeding/ejecting problems with this combination?
Thanks
I did the back and forth also. Wasted loads of money. Saved and bought a custom. I cried the first time I used it. Mike AThanks, I keep going back and forth with that, custom or Rem 700, trued or not. I've not made up my mind.
I've had a few 6BR repeaters. In a 700 if you lengthen the "flat" cut on the ejector so it protrudes level or just above the front of the bolt it maintains the pressure on the case which stops the case dropping back into the action before it ejects. My current one runs the factory extractor and this modified ejector and has had no issues at all.
If you run the factory setup and cycle the bolt really fast it usually works, the setup above works however you do it and it's about a 10 minute job to do, you just need a pin punch and a file.
Agreed, my Borden Super Short Six feeds and ejects flawlessly.
i need to slow down my bolt movement a lot on the bench or set up a brass catcher because it ejects so crisply.
Should you go custom and want a repeater, this should be at the top of your list.

It is an AICS mag, however Jim's version pushes all of the cartridges toward the back of the mag.Are the magazine dimensions for the super six the same as the aics 308 mags?
I am wondering if this action could be run in a mpa or krg without modification to the magwell.
Not with mineI'm considering a rifle build using a Rem 700 single shot short action and 6BR cartridge. Will there be any cartridge feeding/ejecting problems with this combination?
