Rem. 700 ADL follower

Is a right hand follower the same as a left hand follower? I have a rt. bolt lt port Panda that uses a 700 adl mag box, what follower do I need? Thanks Catman

There is only one follower. The bolt will eject to the proper side and when next shell pops up its set to battery in the center of the bolt.

If you can't locate an elusive, hard-to-find, and mucho expensive left-handed follower, you can always just put your right-handed follower in backwards, and viola!

And no, before somebody tries it, the taper won't allow it to fit....

I should go into the left-handed follower specialty manufacturing business, and charge a premium for them though.

Hey, I thought of it first.... the patent race is on! ;)

:DI just got one of those. It doesn't matter which side the round is picked up on. Mine has a coned bolt so I don't think it will work as a repeater, anyway. It was used for Hunter Benchrest. I think it's the rule to have a magazine, and YES Coldbore, When I was putting it together I tried both ways.:)

The actions have to have a magazine cutout for HBR, but they eliminated the rules for having any mag parts to be in place.

So would a glued in br follower fit into the rules?
I got out of the Hunter game a couple years ago, so I'm not up on the latest on whether it's legal to glue it in. Once they eliminated the "working magazine" rule, I just cut an ethafoam block from a broadhead target to fill up the mag well, and laid a Davidson follower on top. Cut the block big enough to put pressure on the follower & it ain't going anywhere.

Per NBRSA:

Magazines are not required, but actions must be cutout for a
magazine. Such a cutout must be large enough to pass the
cartridge the rifle is chambered for. Cartridge for this purpose
shall mean the cartridge as ordinarily configured, including the
seated bullet, when held parallel to the bore. A cartridge
follower or ramp may be installed and may not be attached
permanently to the action in anyway, by any means.
